MALCOLM X

1992 , SOUNDTRACK , SOUNDTRACK SATURDAY

Stepping back and taking a look at this with a critical eye and wondering. Knowing that on February 21, 1965 Malcolm X was shot in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun, I don't know that Junior Walker's Shotgun is an appropriate choice on the soundtrack? In what might be considered ironic but the song was a chart topper in 1965 and I'm sure made for some jokes about the whole thing. Anyone remember life before being "Politically Correct"? Remember Black man, White man, Chinese man jokes? Remember a gay Liberace joke? Remeber the punchline to "What do you call Rock Hudson in a wheelchair?" Or is that just me? Yay tolerance, boo not speaking your mind. The stand out here is ReRe's rendition of the Donnie Hathaway tune (written by Edward Howard) Someday We'll All be Free.

Check out the videos in our Video Section. Enjoy!
