MARSHA AMBROSIUS - LATE NIGHTS, EARLY MORNINGS
Friday, 04 March 2011 00:01

2011 , NEO-SOUL , R&B

Okay so you heard Floetic Soul from "the Floacist" half of the former group Floetry now here's Late Nights, Early Mornings from "the Songstress". Let's see who's better... It's about to be a girl fight.

So imagine that you're a young artist that put together a demo CD to shop around to try and land a record deal. You have a manager but you're really still trying to get your foot in the door. Now imagine going from that to your manager telling you "Michael Jackson is trying to contact the person who wrote "Butterflies", he wants to record it for his album". Well that's how it went down for Marsha Ambrosius before Floetic and this album is what is happening after Floetry, have a listen to this and imagine what MJ would sound like on some of these tracks.

As a side note we've seen Marsha live at the Jazz Cafe in London and this album cover does not represent (in our opinion) her true beauty. If you are ever in London check out the Jazz Cafe, you'll enjoy great artists in an intimate setting and actual music. Upcoming acts at there include Candi Stanton, Angie Stone, Dwele, Macero Parker and that's just the ones who we don't have to tell you who they are. Enjoy!

By the way if you miss Floetry music check out the Floetry Discography from our archive.
